Our pug rescue began almost 20 years ago, after Elana got her first black pug, Lydia. Within a few years time, she was willed 2 very old pugs, Honey and Fifi, that otherwise would have been euthanized due to their age and health problems.

Over the past 2 decades, Morgan’s Pug Rescue has saved, rehabilitated and placed over 120 pugs and affenpinchers. Though Lydia, Honey and Fifi, have long past, the Pug Rescue continues on in memory of them.

Should you be interested in any pug you see, we do NOT do adoptions by email, you must contact Morgan’s Dogs. Also, during the past decade or so, Morgan’s began taking in “owner surrendered dogs” and saving dogs from “Death row.”

“Death row” dogs are dogs that come from high kill shelters that do not offer public adoptions. If rescues do not step up and pull these animals, they are then euthanized.

Since we are not a shelter, but primarily a training kennel and animal care facility, we only pull 2 to 3 “death row” dogs at a time. Many need health care, good food, a loving touch and some time to heal mentally and physically, before they can be put up for adoption. Many found themselves in the unfortunate situation of being surrendered to these high kill shelters simply because of the economy, death of an owner or they were strays.

Should we have any Pugs available, you may friend Elana Morgan on the facebook link below.

Morgan’s Dogs offers $200 off our two week, in-board training course should you wish to have your new adoptee from our facility, obedience trained. You will also have the option of boarding at our facility, should you adopt one of our adoptees.
